Frances Louise Fisher is an American actress who was born in England on 11 May 1952. In the ABC daytime serial opera The Edge of Night (1976–1981), she started her career as a theatre director and then performed as investigator Deborah’s red Saxon. In film she is renowned for her performance at The Kingdom (2007), The Elah Valley (2007), Jolene (2008), The Lawyer at Lincoln (2011) and The Host. Her mother died when she was 15 and she was responsible for raising her younger brother.
